Suzuki Classical Guitar in Port St. Lucie

Classical guitar is becoming more and more popular today. Although classical guitarists are still outnumbered by rock guitarists, a growing number of high schools and colleges now have classical guitar programs. Although classical music is not considered "cool" by many kids, guitar is always cool and some high schools are offering classical guitar classes as an elective that will satisfy a fine arts requirement for graduation. Kids who would not have tried classical guitar are learning to play in guitar ensembles and discovering the beauty of the classical guitar, which produces the widest variety of sound of any western musical instrument, second only to the harp.

Suzuki Classical Guitar is a great method for kids. Kids are naturally attracted to the guitar because of its role in pop music.  In learning to play guitar with the Suzuki method, kids are introduced to classical music of guitarists like Mauro Giuliani and Fernando Sor, who lived in the 1800's, at the same time as Beethoven. Sor is known as the "Beethoven of the Guitar." At the same time, they are getting a great foundation in learning to play guitar, which will enable them to learn to play any style of music when they are older.

Lessons in Suzuki Guitar are now available at the Music Studio of Joette Giorgis in Port St. Lucie.  Visit the studio website at www.jmgmusicstudio.com
